This Comics and Detective Novels Festival has existed for 12 years. Every year, the best authors are awarded for their talent.

For this event, the premises used in the city of Cognac are:
     - “La Salamandre” Congress Centre for autograph sessions, signatures, films and meetings
     - The Recollets convent for exhibitions

The prizes awarded during this Festival are:
     - For the novels: the POLAR Prize, the international POLAR Prize, the junior POLAR Prize and the INTRAMUROS Prize
     - For the comics: the Cognac Prize for the best comics book and the Cognac Prize for the best One Shot
