This competition brings together more than 1000 French and foreign riders. The foreign nations represented are: Germany, England, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Finland, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal and Switzerland.

There are 3 international jumping categories: A, B or C. They are awarded according to the prize allocated to the winner.

The Sud-Charente “Jumping International” is in the C category (prize: 45,700 €).

In order to have the name of “Jumping International”, the Chalais horseshow must be in compliance with the standards defined by the International Horse-riding Federation which annually publishes a list of all the horse-riding competitions throughout the world. 


The different races organized are:
     - International show jumping
     - “CSIC”: Senior International show jumping
     - “CSIJ”: Junior International show jumping
     - “CSI”: Children International show jumping
     - French Championship of Horse-Ball companies
     - Regional Championship for 5th category riders
     - National Show Jumping Competition
     - Breeding stock inspections

There is also the possibility of buying a race horse during this show.

On Saturday evening, there is puissance competition and a horseshow will take place in the castle orchard accompanied by a dinner (can hold up to 1000 people).
