 The
image is already very much present in Angoulême,
The
International Comic Strip Festival
and The
National Comic Strip and Image Centre,
were further reinforced in 1997 with the creation of the
Magelis Pôle Image.
The result of a partnership between the Conseil Général
of the Charente, the Town of Angoulême, The Chamber
of Commerce and Industry and the support of the Poitou-Charentes
Region, its role is to promote the image sector throughout
the department, through the creation and support of businesses,
the creation of specialised courses and the development
of research in static and animated images. |
