The
Electronics and Electrostatics team of the Industrial
Automation and Computerisation Laboratory UPRES EA-1219
at the Poitiers Engineering College (LAII-ESIP) is located
within the Angoulême UIT. It consists of 5 permanent
research lecturers and seven post-graduates and its
research activities revolve around two areas:
modelling, analysis and design of high frequency electronic
circuits (amplifiers, filters, oscillators, mixers),
for use in the field of radio communications;
modelling electrostatic phenomena and processes with
a view to developing new technologies applicable to
materials recycling and to environmental protection.

The
facility has three benches for characterizing electronic
components that have a very broad band frequency (12.5
GHz digital oscilloscope, 20 GHz spectrum vector analyser
,
), together with several installations used
for the experimental study of electrostatic phenomena
(ring-electrostatic separator, 40 KV 5 mA high voltage
generators, electrometers,
); the team works in
partnership with a number of other university laboratories
(IRCOM-Limoges, IXL-Bordeaux) and ACCO (Advanced Concept
Circuit Office) industrial companies- St Germain en
Laye, THOMSON, UMS (United Monolithic Semiconductor),
EADS, Kodak, Hamos (Germany), Bühler (Switzerland).
