  ATLANPACK, was founded in 1997 to develop the packaging industry in the Region.
Situated at the heart of the Atlantic Coast, the structure is organised as an association and the board is made up regional packaging companies, technical and professional organisations and institutions.

A SUITABLE TECHNOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT

The Packaging Centre in Cognac has consolidated its design and innovation expertise by creating the National Institute of Design Packaging INDP Creativity Crossroads.
This national body brings together the design offices of major brands, of distribution and packaging industry with the aim of promoting creative and innovative packaging.

The Packaging Testing Facilities Centre, inaugurated in May 2003.
A technological facility with a 400 m² test platform, 300000 € of equipment, dedicated to testing packaging in order to analyse its strength and to study optimisation and waste minimization options.

The breeding ground for the necessary skills is based on two preliminary Bac + 3 training schemes that are relevant and of interest to the employment catchment pool and, more widely, to those of the Grand Ouest area: Industrial Packaging Engineering GIP, available since the start of the 2002 academic year and held at the Lycée Louis Delage and the Packaging Marketing and Design MPD at the Lycée Jean Monnet from September 2003.
