THE GREATER TOWN COMMUNITY

The COMAGA (Greater Angoulême City Council) was born on January 1st 2000 following the transformation of the Angoulême district council under the Chevènement law of 1999.

It covers 108 000 inhabitants, and represents 15 Communes.

Excluding Cognac and Barbezieux-Saint-Hilaire, it covers all towns over
5 000 inhabitants.
